CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY

CRITERIA FOR INDIVIDUALS

Applicants must:

• Be enrolled at a high school participating in the Forces AVENIR program and be at least 12 years of age during the 2011-2012 school year.
• Be a member of staff at a high school participating in the Forces AVENIR program during the 2011- 2012 school year.
• For the Québec City, Chaudière-Appalaches, Bas Saint-Laurent, Gaspésie-Îles-de-la-Madeleine or Côte-Nord regions, be a student or staff member of a school board or a private school in one of these regions that is registered in the Forces AVENIR program.
• For the Montreal, Laurentides, Lanaudière, Laval, l'Abitibi-Témiscamingue and Montérégie regions, be a student or staff member of a school board or a private school in one of these regions that is registered in the Forces AVENIR program.
• For the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region, be a student or staff member of a school board or a private school in one of these regions that is registered in the Forces AVENIR program.
• Not have already received from Forces AVENIR either a grant, an AVENIR trophy or a full page in Le Soleil, La Presse or Le Quotidien newspapers.

CRITERIA FOR PROJECTS

• The project must not be carried out as part of a course, unless the time required to carry out the project greatly exceeds the context of the course itself.
• The project can only be submitted in one category.
• At least 80% of the project must have been carried out by students.
• The project must be initiated, made operational or be carried out during the 2011-2012 school year.
• The project must not have already received from Forces AVENIR either a grant, an AVENIR trophy or a full page in Le Soleil, La Presse  or Le Quotidien newspapers.
