Habitat for Humanity
By founding a chapter of Habitat For Humanity on the McGill campus (the MUCC), in line with the principles of American Habitat for Humanity, students at the McGill University School of Architecture aim to promote popular awareness of the problems of homeless people. Up to now, MUCC members have built and renovated quarters for the Montreal Diet Dispensary organisation. They were also involved in a project in New Jersey which teaches young students basic volunteer construction skills. The MUCC students then continued their awareness campaign in Quebec by taking part in the National Tent Event.
