Forces AVENIR’s mission is to recognize, honour and promote the commitment of young socially conscious, active and responsible citizens. The “honouring” facet of this mission is given concrete expression through the bestowal of awards of excellence to committed and enthusiastic students during a gala evening attended by more than 500 people from all fields of activity and all spheres of society. It is an opportunity for everyone to join together to celebrate common ideals, to encourage promising youth and to trace the contours of tomorrow’s community.

Since the beginning, the gala has been hosted by the talented Gregory Charles and takes place alternately in the cities of Québec, Montréal and Sherbrooke. During the festive event, grants totalling $114,000, AVENIR trophies, international internships as well as extraordinary visibility are offered to the finalists and award recipients.

The Forces AVENIR University Gala is a prestigious and much appreciated event that is on a par with the committed individuals to whom it pays tribute.

In 2003 the 5th edition of the Forces AVENIR Gala took place October 8 at the Grand Théâtre de Québec, Québec.
