Committed to Promoting a Country and Contributing to the Development of its People
Brothers Philippe and Mathieu Razanakolona made the most of the media coverage offered by the Turin Winter Olympics in 2006 to take concrete action for their native country of Madagascar. Having drawn the attention of three billion people to their country, the two instigators of the Ski Madagascar project took advantage of the visibility to establish a fund to finance development projects. In the spring of 2007, $130,000 had already been raised out of a projected total of $300,000, allowing them to subsidize five major projects.
