Two Continents, One Project

Health

Two Continents, One Project
“Two Continents, One Project” is an initiative piloted by 12 very determined students attending Laval University (11 in medicine and 1 in philosophy). The project consisted of an international cooperation internship allowing the young people to travel to developing countries to offer medical care. Members of the summer 2000 project, whose mission led them to Honduras and Cameroon, worked very hard at developing the event with the assistance of members of the religious community of the Sisters of Jesus. The purpose of the project was to allow the students to perfect their medical training and participate in unique mutual aid and cooperation. The project generated positive spin-offs for both the targeted populations and participating students.
