The Green House

Environment

The Green House
In the near future, the Québec region will have a “green” or “healthy” house. This project, launched by an association known as Univert Laval, will be completed using the results of a competition organized among Laval university students attending the school of architecture. The Michael-John-Brophy house situated on campus and dating back to 1947 will be renovated and expanded, based on standards governing green construction techniques. Among other things, the project will provide proof that it is technically possible and economically feasible to renovate in an urban setting using environmentally sound materials and methods. After its renovation, the green house will serve to host theme activities and stage presentations.
