A mere 23-year old, Valérie Gosselin already has an outstanding academic record. Having first completed the combined sports/arts/academics program at Cardinal-Roy High School, and then the sports/academics program at Limoilou College, she has just received a B.A. in Psychology from Université Laval. Although suffering from cystic fibrosis, she is nevertheless proficient at synchronized and competition swimming. Valérie is a laboratory research assistant, and a volunteer worker with both the Quebec Cystic Fibrosis Association and the Canadian Mental Health Association. She has received a number of bursaries and honourable mentions in support of her greatest ambition, which is to become a researcher and professor of neuro-psychology.
