Business and economy

Ingénierie Sans Frontières 2000
Since 1991, the hundred or so students who have participated in the University of Sherbrooke’s Ingénierie Sans Frontières (ISF-Engineers Without Borders) have travelled the world in the hope of establishing lasting economic ties among Québec-based businesses and the countries they visited. The 2000 mission of Engineers Without Borders provided tangible proof of economic globalization when ISF team members travelled to Brazil for the first time, mandated with selling Québec entrepreneurship. To date, more than 250 companies, including Bombardier, Domtar, Enerkem, Royal-Mat and Teccart have benefited from the international visibility offered by ISF. During their sojourn, IFS 2000 mission members took the opportunity to visit the cities of Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Curitiba and Ignacu.
