It is normal for a social worker to want to help others, providing support, reassurance and advice. Véronique Laveau has it in her blood to a great extent. Each of the activities of this Laval University student takes on the trappings of a case to defend, from Benin, Gaspésie and Israel to Bosnian refugees, university students or hospitalized seniors. There is no doubt that Véronique is divinely inspired, heart and soul. Pragmatic in her views, she combines her studies with work in the field with great perception. No time is wasted on empty gestures; every act must serve the needs of others, here or elsewhere.
