Committed to Promoting Responsible Consumption
In founding Revert, a company that markets school supplies made from recycled vinyl canvasses, three students wanted to give concrete meaning to the term responsible consumption. A new player in the green economy, Revert is also committed to responsibly disposing of all its waste, as well as employing energy-efficient practices in the transportation and transformation of materials. Revert donates 5% of its profits to Tree Canada and plans to manufacture some 300,000 items annually.

Committed to Reducing Overcrowding in the Health System
In designing the Argus electronic medication organizer, Neda Nasseri and Soheyl K. Afaghi wanted to enable patients to efficiently manage their medication. The unique and high-tech Argus emits an alarm and visual alert to notify patients that the time has come to take their medication. With its liquid crystal screen that displays details about taking the medication and USB port for transferring data, the Argus is a truly innovative tool with international potential.

Committed to Promoting Québec Companies Abroad
Since 1997, more than 200 companies in Québec have been able to develop worldwide business networks thanks to the development officers of Missions commerciales de l’Université Laval. In 2008, forty or so students visited India, Brazil and Germany. On behalf of the companies being represented, they studied the German market, sought a distributor in India and established a partnership in Brazil. The project has once again this year greatly contributed to increasing Québec’s visibility abroad.
