Committed to Promoting the Creative Talent of the New Generation
Since February 2008, the building at 3259 Sainte-Catherine Street East in Montréal has been taken over by art students from UQÀM. For a year, 12 exhibitions will be presented one after the other and the L’Art passe à l’Est event is currently in full swing. The project showcases all artistic disciplines, from painting to multimedia installations to sculpture, performance, video and photography, and contributes to the cultural vitality that the city’s east side is currently experiencing while helping to establish closer ties between the general public and the art world.

Committed to Creative Projects that Go Beyond the Scope of their Studies
It was with the aim of gaining a better understanding of what was being done in professional circles that six theatre students established the Collectif de création In Situ. Using audacity and creativity, and calling upon their boundless imagination, they created the play Alouette, je te raconterai…, which was presented on the outdoor stage at Artillery Park in Old Québec from 29 June to 3 August 2007. Drawing inspiration from the park itself, the students were able to showcase their artistic talents and put their production management skills to the test. For more information >>>
